![]() Wider keys: I have really big hands, so the keys on my old Akai really cramped my fingers when it came to chords. The particular considerations in my case are as follows: So before going ahead with the new Akai, I want to put that to rest once and for all and know for sure that I’ll be getting the midi controller best suited to my needs. But just as I was about to order the Mk3 I remembered that after buying the Mk2 I learnt of the two other midi controllers that I though might be more convenient for my need than the Akai. The backstory is I sold my Akai MPK Mini Mk2 because I wanted to get the Mk3 for three essential reasons: the better key response, the endless knobs and the USB position at the back (in my setup having it to the side is very uncomfortable). So, basically: Which would you buy? And why? I know a lot is very subjective and has to do with individual needs (which is why I’m including what I focus on at the end) but maybe some of your pros and cons might just tip the balance one way or the other. I’m between these three and I would like to know your experiences using one, two or maybe even three, and how you would compare them.
